US Patent Integration

DocketTrak connects with USPTO Patent Center and public patent data through its Patent Center integration, Patent Update Service and PTO Import. Together, these tools support unpublished applications available through the subscriber’s Patent Center account and published or otherwise public patent records.

Integration capabilities:

• USPTO Patent Center Integration — DocketTrak connects through the subscriber’s MyUSPTO.gov account, retrieves authorized application information, and creates or updates corresponding DocketTrak patent records.
• Unpublished application imports — Import applications available through the subscriber’s Patent Center account without waiting for publication.
• Patent Update Service — Published and otherwise public U.S. patent records are checked automatically and updated when USPTO information changes.
• PTO Import — Retrieve current public USPTO information for an individual patent record and review available information before updating DocketTrak.
• Automatic patent docketing — Qualifying USPTO activity can trigger built-in U.S. patent rules and applicable Auto Docket Templates to create prosecution events and calculate associated due dates.
• Confirmation and summary emails — Automated messages identify records processed, information changed, and applicable docketing activity.

Canada Patent Integration

DocketTrak retrieves available Canadian patent information from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). CIPO data can be used to create or update patent records, support docketing activity and reduce repetitive review of the public office database.

US Trademark Integration

DocketTrak connects with USPTO trademark data to create records, retrieve images, monitor prosecution activity, update existing records and apply the appropriate docketing rules.
